Apologies for not blogging again! Just when I thought that life was semi back on track a couple of new challenges have come my way.

Firstly, two days before we hand over our house for repair work, the insurance company have informed me that they don’t have enough tiles to fix our bathroom and I have one day to find new tiles that will go with the existing floor tiles and hope that they have them in stock. This now leaves me with just one remaining day to finish packing my house.

Secondly and far, far worse, my lovely mum has had a fall and broken her hip. She is going to need surgery and a lengthy stay in hospital. We move to our temporary home in two days which will be over an hour away from where my parents live. I feel awful that I can’t be there for them more at the moment and the distance is really going to complicate things further.

So apologies for the infrequent blogs at the moment. Hopefully things will settle down for us soon.

About embracingtheimperfections

I am a mother of six children. My children's ages range from 20 down to 1, so we are dealing with a lot of different ages and stages, not to mention a lot of different personalities. One of my twins has cerebral palsy so that adds yet another dimension to our lives. Along my journey so far I have learnt that life is far from perfect and that sometimes it's the imperfections that round out the harsh edges and give it a quality that is precious and unique. My love of the imperfect extends into my home life too. I love all things vintage, hand crafted, home grown and home cooked. I love to be creative and I love learning. I am definitely not a minimalist! I aspire to be tidy and organized but I am realizing that with six children, three cats and a crazy black Labrador that is probably beyond my capabilities, so I embrace the beautiful chaos that ensues!
